Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Pedestal Coffee Pot, circa 1790 - 1810. Raised on a reeded oval foot with a composite loop handle. The domed and hinged cover with orb finial. The body with a band of bright cut and prick work engraving. A cartouche enclosed monogram to either side. Inside the coffee pot is a rim to suspend a mesh filter, meaning it can be used as a coffee biggin. There is a presentation inscription to the underside.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. The handle has a split at the top end, but it is tight and does not affect use. There is movement in the hinge.
