Georgian, George III, Pair of Old Sheffield Plate Pierced Wine Coasters, circa 1790. These coasters are from the estate of Mr J Hay, son of Major-General Arthur K Hay DSO OBE.
Each has a turned wooden base and pierced sides with hand sawn leaf detail above a band of pierced wriggle work. The rim with fine beaded detail and an identical monogram to each.

The other repair was to a split in the rim and the loss of an upright section to the pierced detail, again with a securing plate to the interior.. Both of these repairs are of good quality and have stopped any further loss. Photos of the repairs have been included. Both are ready to use.
