Georgian Old Sheffield Plate crested bread basket with a reeeded bale handle. Features gadrooned borders with shell corners raised upon a stepped base. The surface of the basket features a very fine dragon's head crest. When the basket is turned over you can see how the layer of silver has been rolled over the edges.
