A Late Georgian Old Sheffield Plate Campaign Tea Set, with the Creamer and Sugar Basin Stored Inside the Teapot. All feature gadrooned detail with the teapot and cream jug having removable handles. The creamer and sugar with identical crests.
The creamer and sugar are marked for Dixon & Son, Sheffield circa 1825. The teapot is unmarked.
In good condition, being free of dents, creases and splits. The teapot with some solder residue around the spout. The sugar bowl and cream jug with higher surface wear to one side. The teapot does not leak and the sugar bowl has some pitting to the interior. The wooden handle with a stable split and loss to the thumbpiece.
Approximate total weight is 1.315 kilos.
