George III period, pair of crested Old Sheffield Plate entree dishes and covers. The crest appears to be that of a furnace chimney and is within a rubbed in silver circle. Features gadrooned borders and removable naturalistic loop handles, formed as branches. The covers can be used as further serving dishes.

In very good condition with high surface wear commensurate with age for dining table ware. Some copper bleed, as per the photographs and wear around the edges of the dishes and covers. One strip of gardooned detail on a dish, has been repaired or replaced.

Approximate total weight for the pair is 2.576 kilos.

Approximate dimensions of one are 28.5 cm length, 20.5 cm width and 12 cm height.
