19th century twin handled silver plated soup tureen and cover of oval bombe form. Features an ornate, naturalistic, handle in the form of a branch on a bed of leaves and vines. Raised on four leaf and scroll cast feet with gadrooned borders. The twin handles with leaf mounts joining the body.

In excellent order with light surface wear and free of dents and creases. 

There is a maker's mark of SM to the inside of the cover. Estimate of age is approximately 1850 - 1880.

Approximate weight is 3.8 kilos.

Approximate dimensions are 40 cm length, 25 cm width and 23 cm height.
