Victorian Neoclassical Silver Plated Figural Casket. Of rectangular form and raised on four swan feet. The casket richly detailed with repousse mythological scenes.
Marked to the underside for Elkington & Co. circa 1865.
In excellent condition with warm copper bleed to the raised detail. Free of dents and splits. The cover does not close fully flush as a very small gap is left (this is shown best in the fourth photo). Light surface wear commensurate with age.
Approximate weight is 1.78 kilos.
