Mid 19th Century silver plate on copper oval soup tureen & cover with lion mask and foliate handles. The tureen is raised on four lion paw feet with elaborate foliate, scroll and shell shoulders. The borders are gadrooned with shell decoration and the domed cover terminating in a naturalistic handle.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. Some loss of plate with exposed copper, as shown in the photographs.
