1806 Death of William Pitt Bronze Medal Snuff Box by P. Wyon. Bust to the Obverse and Britannia Weeping Beside Tomb to the Reverse. The legend to the obverse ' He was a man, take him for all in all. We shall not look upon his like again'. The legend to the reverse 'Oh my country'.

William Pitt the Younger (1759 - 1806) was a British statesman, the youngest and last Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1783 until the 1800 Acts of the Union and then first Prime Minister of the United Kingdon from 1801. He left office in March 1801, but served as prime minister again from 1804 until his death in 1806. He is known as "Pitt the Younger" to distinguish him from his father, William Pitt, Earl of Chatham, who had previously served as Prime Minister and is referred to as "William Pitt the Elder".

In good condition with one stable split in the base rim. This split is only visible on the exterior and does not go all the way through. The last photo shows this best. High surface wear and pitting to the obverse.
