An18th Century, Baltic or Central European, Parcel-Gilt Silver Toilet Box. Oval Form, the Pull-Off Cover with a Central Embossed Coat of Arms, for von Magusch of Silesia within a Fluted/Milled Border.

The von Magusch family were of lesser noble status in Silesia and were created as Nobles of the Holy Roman Empire in 1722. They were further created as hereditary knights of the Empire in 1729 in the person of Casper von Magusch. This box would appear to date to the first half of the 18th century. Indistinct Marker's Mark and Quatrefoil Town Mark.

In good condition without dents, creases, splits or solder. Wear to the parcel gilt. High wear to the underside of the base. Interior gilding good.
