Edwardian Silver Cigarette Box of Maritime and Naval Interest. The interior of the box is of cedar wood. The cover with a ribbon and reeded border.

The cover features an inset silver plated copper plaque by Frank Lutiger (1871 - 1941), a Swiss artist living in London who worked as a sculptor, medallist, metal carver and art metalworker. He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1897 and 1931. The ship depicted on this plaque is unidentified, although it is a small warship with two guns visible. Lutiger was known for similar work for HMS Dreadnought, so it is likely that this is a Royal Navy ship.

In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. The item is free of creases and dents. There is copper bleed to the Lutiger plaque.
