A 19th Century Plaster Relief Plaster Plaque of George I, Duke of Brunswick-Luneberg, on Horseback. Glazed within a Circular Wooden Frame. Possibly the reverse of the seal of George I.

The King on horseback, galloping to the right, laureate head, covered in his armor and sword in hand. Behind him, a stem bearing a thistle and a rose. In the distance, a city with a castle on a hill.

The legend reads: 'BRUNSWIC. ET . LUNEN. DUX. SACRI. ROM. IMP. ARCHITHESAU. ET . PRINC . ELECTOR. ETC. 1717'.

In good condition with no frame or glass damage. Two areas of plaster damage, as per the last two photos. One is a thin crack over the word BRUNSWIC and the other is a crack and small loss in the area of the word PRINC.

Approximate weight is 325 grams.

Approximate frame dimensions are 18 cm diameter and 2.2 cm depth.
