The 1760 Battle of Torgau, Between Prussian & Imperial Austrian Armies, During the Third Silesian War, Part of The Seven Years War. A Brass and Copper Tobacco Box, After Johan Heinrich Giese of Iserlohn, Germany. This box is likely to date to the second half of the 19th century.
The battle fought on 3rd November 1760 between the Army of King Frederick II of Prussia, known as Frederick the Great and Marshal Daun of the Imperial Austrian and Saxon Armies. The Prussians won the day, but suffered heavy losses.
In very good condition with interior wear and some staining.
