George III Silver Coffee Pot. Armorial for Vice-Admiral Sir Robert Tristram Rickets (1782-1842). Of cylindrical form, raised on a wide circular foot. Part fluted detail to the body and pull off cover. Wooden handle and finial.

The armorial bearings are those of the family of Ricketts, Baronets of The Elms in the County of Gloucestershire and Beaumont - Leyes in the County of Leicestershire and were granted to Robert Tristram Ricketts. Vice-Admiral Ricketts fought in the Napoleonic Wars, sering under Admirals Cornwallis, Cotton & St Vincent. He commanded the Ville de Paris, Hibernia, San Joseph & Vengeur. A heraldry report accompanies this item.

Hallmarked to the body and cover for London 1820 by J. E. Terrey.

In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age.
