Georgian, George III, Silver Inkstand. Of rectangular form and raised on four openwork bracket feet. Gadrooned border with leaf detail to the corners. Three open work bottle holders containing three cut glass bottles, with pen rests either side.
Hallmarked to the underside of the base for London 1769 by Andrew Fogelberg. The bottle collars and caps are unmarked.
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. There are no dents or creases to the silver and no losses to the openwork detail. Higher wear to the border detail. One small chip to the base of one glass bottle (as shown in the last photo).
Approximate silver weight is 571 grams or 18.3 troy ounces.
