Georgian, George IV period, Old Sheffield Plate Inkstand, circa 1820. Features three cut glass bottles with Old Sheffield Plated mounts. One is a dip pen bottle, one for pounce and the other to store ink. The bottles would appear to be original. The inkstand is raised on four ornate bracket feet, with a tinned underside. The border heavily gadrooned with leaf and foliate decoration. The bottle holders are also gadrooned and the bottle mounts have foliate and scroll borders.

In very good condition, free of dents, splits and repairs. There are nibbles and small losses to all of the glass bottles, but they still function and display well. The ink bottle is stained blue on the inside. Areas of warm copper bleed.

Approximate weight is 1.03 kilos.

Approximate dimensions are 25 cm length, 16 cm width and 10 cm height.
