Georgian, George IV, Silver Inkstand. Features twin diamond cut glass inkwells and a detachable taperstick holder with snuffer, above a compartment for storing wax. There are also two pen wells. The inkstand is raised on four scrolling paw feet. Rose detail throughout.
Hallmarked to the underside of the base for London 1824 by Joseph Angell I. Further part hallmarked to the bottle holders, wax holder, taperstick holder, taperstick carrier and snuffer. The ink bottle mounts and covers are not hallmarked.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age.
