Georgian, George II, pair of silver salts with later blue glass liners. Both are crested with lions, in the naive style, holding crosses. They stand on three hoof feet and feature engraved detail. Unusually they are also monogrammed to the underside of each hoof foot.

Condition is excellent with moderate surface wear commensurate with age.

Hallmarked for London 1739 & 1741 by the important salt maker Edward Wood. He was the master to David Hennell.

Approximate silver weight for the pair is 146 grams or 4.69 troy ounces.

Approximate dimensions of one are 7 cm diameter and 4 cm height.
