Georgian, George III, Set of Four Silver Gilt Salts. Of cauldron form, raised on three hoof feet with a finely gadrooned rim.
Each salt is hallmarked for London 1787 by Charles Hougham (the brother of Solomon Hougham).
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. Some pitting to the interiors and some gilt wear to one salt.
Approximate weight of all four salts is 220 grams or 7 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one salt are 5.5 cm top rim diameter and 4.2 cm height.
