Victorian Cased Set of Four Silver Salts & Matching Silver Spoons. The salts are gilt lined, but additionally have later blue glass liners to prevent wear to the gilt. Each circular salt is raised on three scroll and foliate feet, surrounded by engraved foliate detail. The salt spoons have twist stems with gilt shell bowls. The original fitted case with blue satin and velvet interior.
The salts and spoons are hallmarked for Birmingham 1877 by Hilliard & Thomason. The marks on the spoons are very small and harder to read, but all have been photographed.
In excellent condition with light surface wear to the salts and moderate surface wear to the spoons. The fitted case does not lock shut and has areas of higher wear to the exterior. One glass liner with one nibble to the rim.
