Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Oval Tray, circa 1780. The field centred by a vacant shield shaped reserve within a bright cut background. Features a gadrooned raised border and raised on four ball feet. The underside is tinned with rolled over silver edges.
In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. Higher wear around the outside of the shield shaped reserve. A few very light pressure marks, but no dents or splits. The silver coating is in excellent order.
