A George III, York silver tea service, comprising of teapot, creamer and sugar.  Each piece has a half fluted body with foliate detailed rims. All stand on four cast bracket feet with strapwork under both spouts. The sugar bowl and cream jug with gilded interiors. Each piece is crested for Baines of York.

All are hallmarked for York 1819 by James Barber & William Whitwell (please note that the York town mark does not appear in the 1819 cycle, as per Jacksons Hallmarks). 

Approximate weight is 1.564 kilos, or just over 50 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are:
 
Teapot: 28 cm length, by 15 cm depth and 17 cm height.
Creamer: 18 cm length by 11.5 cm depth and 11 cm height.
Sugar: 21 cm length by 14 cm depth and 11 cm height.
 
Condition is excellent with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but all readable.
