Georgian, George III, Silver Tea Service. Of squat circular form, with each piece lavishly detailed with embossed flowers, leaves and scrolls. The sugar bowl and cream jug with gilded interiors. Each piece is raised on four ornate bracket feet and has the name Dura engraved on one side within a cartouche.

Each piece is hallmarked for York 1819 by James Barber & William Whitwell. The York town mark does not appear on these items. The covers are further part hallmarked.

In excellent condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age.

Approximate total weight of all three pieces is 1.587 kilos or 51 troy ounces.

Approximate dimensions:

Teapot: 27 cm length, 16 cm depth and 15.3 cm height.

Sugar: 19 cm length, 14.5 cm depth and 11.5 cm height.

Cream: 18.5 cm length, 11.5 cm depth and 9 cm height.
