Georgian, George IV, silver tea service. Each piece stands on four ornate bracket feet and features a gadrooned rim. The handles are all reeded and leaf capped. Foliate embossed decoration to all three pieces. The cartouches are vacant, but would appear to have had professional removals.
Hallmarked to the body for London 1821/22 by Thomas Barker. Some of the marks are rubbed, but please see the photos. The maker's mark on the creamer has been overstamped. The teapot is further hallmarked to the handle and inside of the lid.
The teapot features ivory heat insulators and a bone finial. Please check the rules regarding the importation of antique ivory if buying from outside of the U.K.
Condition is very good with occasional surface marks and tiny bumps around the now vacant cartouches. The teapot does not leak and the handle and flush hinge are tight. There are no solder marks on any piece. The teapot lid does not quite sit fully flush.
Approximate weight for the tea service is 1.130 kilos or 36.33 troy ounces.
