Late Victorian silver tea service of plain oval form with each piece having a reeded girdle and standing on lion mask and pad feet, with wavy rims. There are no engravings or inscriptions. The teapot has an ebonised handle and finial.

Each piece is hallmarked for Chester 1900 by John Millward Banks, with the inside of the teapot lid hallmarked with the year letter and lion passant.

In excellent order with no splits, dents, solder repairs or creases. The teapot is watertight, but does have a very slight gap where the lid does not sit flush with the top of the teapot. The service stands firm and does not rock.

Approximate weight of all three pieces is 765 grams or 24.59 troy ounces.

Teapot: 23 cm handle to spout length, 16 cm height and 12.5 cm width.

Sugar: 15 cm length, 10 cm height and 9 cm width. 

Creamer: 11 cm length, 10 cm height and 7 cm width.
