Victorian military silver plated cup & cover with kneeling rifleman, circa 1870 - 1890. The cup is of twin handled and pedestal form with a knopped stem and stepped circular foot. One side of the cup is embossed with scrolls and foliage with a vacant cartouche. The other side is wonderfully embossed and depicts a scene of soldiers at camp. The stepped cover with engraved decoration.
In excellent order and free of dents, creases, splits and repairs. No loss of plate.
An extremely well made cup and cover and free of any previous inscriptions.
