
Lieutenant (Later General) Thomas Littleton Green (1805 - 1895), 50th Regiment Madras Native Infantry, British Indian Army, Silver Lidded Tankard with Gilt Interior. The tankard features bands of reeded detail and an openwork thumb piece.
Marked to the underside of the base for George Gordon & Co. of Madras, circa 1825.
In excellent condition, being free of any dents or creases. The tankard does not leak.
Approximate weight is 450 grams or 14.4 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 13.5 cm height, 12.5 cm handle to cover tip length and 7 cm top rim opening.
Capacity full to the brim is 490 ml, so a pint tankard.
