Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Tankard, circa 1770 - 1780. Features a heart shaped handle terminal and wooden base. The tankard holds about 800 ml of liquid and has a reeded girdle to the body.
In very good condition with no dents or loss of plate. There would appear to be a small loss to the thumb rest and the tankard is free of leaks.
Approximate weight is 606 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 16.5 cm height and 15.5 cm handle to base rim length.
