First half 19th century Napoleon Bonaparte ebonised snuff box with tortoiseshell interior. The cover inset with a gilt metal laurel crown relief bust, after Eugene Morel.

In fair condition with losses to the inner tortoiseshell rim of the base and one chip to the ebonised part of the base, as per the photos. The cover with two minor chips to the face of the ebonised cover. No damage to the gilt metal portrait profile.

Approximate weight is 54 grams.

Approximate dimensions are 8 cm diameter and 2 cm depth.
