A Bronze Relief Portrait Plaque of a Young Prince of Wales, Later Edward VIII. Produced on Behalf of Earl Haig's British Legion Appeal by the Cameograph Company of Pall Mall, London. Circa 1925.

The bronze plaque is mounted within its original wooden frame with an inscription which reads "REPRODUCED BY SPECIAL PERMISSION OF H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES ON BEHALF OF EARL HAIG BRITISH LEGION APPEAL BY THE CAMEOGRAPH CO. LTD 45 PALL MALL SW".

A Cameograph was made by projecting an object with a grid or beams of light to reproduce it; often of a face to model a portrait in relief. The use of a Cameograph was thought by its developers to aid in making a portrait more lifelike.  

In excellent condition with light surface wear. The stand at the reverse has come away from it's upper mounting but still functions.

Approximate weight is 1.56 kilos.

Approximate frame dimensions are 29.5 cm length by 28 cm width.

Approximate bronze plaque diameter is 20 cm.
