A Georgian, George II, silver coffee pot, of tapering cylindrical form. Featuring a cherub and duck head spout. The chased detail with a spread eagle to both sides, among floral and scroll decoration. The ornate knop in the form of a closed pine cone. The handle in fruit wood. Raised on a spreading pedestal base, chased with flora and scrolls.
Hallmarked to the body for London 1745 by Louis Dupont. The inner rim of the cover part hallmarked with the lion passant.
In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents, creases and splits.
Approximate dimensions are 25 cm height and 23 cm handle to spout width.
Approximate weight is 874 grams or 28 troy ounces.
