Cased Silver copies of the Royal Seals of Henry VIII of England and Francis I of France. The seals are beautifully embossed and have information plaques to the rear, as well as hooks for hanging. Each seal is marked 116/1000, meaning they were the 116th struck out of a limited edition of 1000.
Both seals were used in 1527 for a peace treaty between France and England.
The seals and their plaques to the rear are hallmarked for London 1973 by Hennell, Frazer & Haws.
In excellent order with light surface wear. The dent to the rim of one is a copy of the original seal and not damage to the silver. The case is also in excellent order.
Approximate weight of both seals is 465 grams. The bases may be filled.
Approximate cased weight is 1 kilo.
