Late Victorian Cased Set of Silver Plated & Mother of Pearl Fruit Cutlery for Twelve. Housed in its original fitted wooden case with working key.

Each knife blade is marked for Allen & Darwin of Sheffield & London. They were active from 1893 until 1928 when they changed their name to Allen's. The case features a design registration number for 1898 and the knives have a design registration number for 1893.

The case is in very good condition, but is missing the brass cartouche to the front cover. The forks have high wear and pitting to the tines. The knife blades are all in good order, as is the mother of pearl.
