Early 20th Century, Silver Plate on Copper Presentation Inkstand for Stephen's Green Club, Dublin, circa 1912. Of shaped octagonal form, raised on four paw feet with lion mask ring handles. The domed cover with leaf detail. The hinged cover opens to reveal a covered compartment for sealing wax and stamps, with two associated glass inkwells and twin pen recesses.
Stephen's Green Club is a private members club located in Dublin city centre since 1840. One of the founders was Daniel O'Connell, Lord Mayor of Dublin and MP for Clare, Dublin City & Cork County.
In excellent condition with light surface wear and small areas of light copper bleed. The associated inkwells are slightly too small for the recesses.
