Early Victorian silver plated Jeroboam Champagne bottle coaster, circa 1845 The top rim is detailed with applied grapes, leaves and vines. This detail is repeated in a girdle on the lower part of the pierced body, which is further adorned with lion masks and swags. Stands on three ornate bracket feet.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. Some loss of silver plate to the interior base of the coaster where the bottles would have rested. Areas of light copper bleed to the raised detail.
Approximate weight is 1.865 kilos.
Approximate dimensions are 31 cm diameter and 16.5 cm height.
This coaster will hold a bottle with a base diameter of up to 20 cm.
