A Mortimer & Hunt silver platter dish with a reeded serpentine edge. Made from a very thick gauge of silver with a beautiful crest. Hallmarked for John Mortimer and John Samuel Hunt, London 1841. The Mortimer and Hunt retail stamp is also present. Both were in partnership with Paul Storr until his retirement in 1839.
 
Condition is very good with minor surface wear, scratches and occasional pitting.
