Edwardian pair of silver entree dishes and covers. Of octagonal form, part fluted and with gadrooned borders. Each cover has a detachable loop handle, turning the covers into further dishes.
In excellent order with moderate surface wear and light scratches commensurate with age and for their use as serving dishes. There will be the occasional tiny dint mark, but no dents, creases or splits. The handle on set number 2 does not lock fully tight, but sits in position perfectly well. Heavier wear to the undersides of the bases.
Each base, cover and handle are hallmarked for Sheffield by Martin Hall & Co. Some pieces are dated 1903 and some are 1905. Each piece is numbered either 1 or 2. Both bases have the retail stamp of Z. Barraclough & Sons of Leeds.
