Elizabeth II "The Churchill Centenary Trust Plate" Silver Plate. The Centre with Gold Plated Relief Bust of Sir Winston Churchill by the sculptor David Cornell. The plate is mounted in a blue velvet lined oak frame display case, which can be either wall or surface mounted. The plate was issued in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Sir Winston Churchill, perhaps best known for being the British Prime Minister during World War Two.
Very small hallmarks to the rear of the plate for London 1974 by John Pinches (Medallists) Ltd. This is not solid silver, but filled silver.
In very good conditon with no dents or creases to the silver plate. Some loss of the gold plating to the relief bust. Higher wear to the rear of the plate, as shown in the photo.
Approximate total weight is 1.8 kilos. The filled silver dish weighs approximately 320 grams.
Approximate case dimensions are 29 cm length, 29 cm width and 7 cm depth.
Approximate plate dimensions are 20 cm diameter.
