French Silvered Circular Table Snuff Box Engraved with 'La Mort de L'Oiseau', after Jean-Baptiste Greuze. Circa 1900. Of circular form with an engraved band of ribbon and leaf detail. The interior gilded and the cover beautifully engraved. F. B. Graz is most likely the engraver.
The original painting is from 1800 and is on display in the Louvre, Paris.
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear. Free of dents and creases. Copper bleed to the engraved picture.
