A George III Silver Inkstand. The inkstand features a gadrooned border, two pen wells and a pounce pot. There are three pierced frames holding cut glass bottles with white metal covers and collars. The inkstand is raised on four lion claw feet.
The base is hallmarked for London 1762 by William Plummer. The pierced frame and bottle covers are not hallmarked.
Approximate silver weight is 384 grams or 12.3 troy ounces.
Approximate total weight is 737 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 23 cm length, 15.5 cm width and 7.2 cm height.
In good condition without dents, creases, splits or repair. All three glass bottles with minor chips and nibbles.
