George V silver ship's capstan inkwell. The cylindrical ring turned body above a flat circular foot. The domed cover lifts to reveal a glass inkwell and the main body has dip pen holders. This is a silver reproduction of a common Georgian and Victorian pewter design.
In excellent order with very light surface wear. Some clouding to the underside.
Hallmarked for London 1912 by Sebastian Garrard. Features the Garrard & Co Ltd retail stamp to the underside.
Approximate silver weight is 287 grams or 9.22 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 7 cm height and 13 cm base diameter.
