George V Silver Identity Disc for Commodore Sir Drury St. Aubyn Wake K.C.I.E.C.B. Royal Navy, Granton Naval Base, Edinburgh.

Wake was born in 1863, with his father being an Admiral in the Royal Navy. Wake rose steadily throught the ranks and in 1912 was appointed Captain of HMS Formidable. In 1915 he was promoted to Commodore as the Senior Naval Officer, Persian Gulf. In April 1917 he attained the rank of Rear Admiral before being placed on the retired list. On 11/9/18 Wake replaced Admiral Sir James Startin as Senior Naval Officer at Granton, with the temporary rank of Commodore 2nd Class Royal Naval Reserve. He rose to the rank of Admiral on 25/10/26 and died in 1935. His Order of the Bath (C.B.) was awarded in 1916 and Additional Knight Commander in the Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) was awared in 1918.
