George V Silver Plated Mug, with 7th Hussars Inscription. The mug was presented by Major F. B. (Frederick Beadle) Leyland D.S.O. M.V.O. in 1920.

The 7th Hussars were formed in 1689 and fought at the Battle of Waterloo. In 1857 the regiment were posted to India to help quell the Indian Rebellion. During the First World War they fought in the Mesopotamian Campaign. The regiment is now part of the Queen's Royal Hussars.

Marked to the underside as EPNS (electro plated nickel silver) by Fenton Brothers of Sheffield.

In excellent order with fresh silver plate and no dents or creases.

Approximate weight is 185 grams.

Approximate dimensions are 9.5 cm height, 11 cm length and 9.5 cm base diameter.
