Georgian, George I, silver dome covered quart tankard. Raised on a spreading and skirted circular base with fluting to the lower portion of the body. There is a wreath enclosed vacant cartouche to the centre and a gadrooned girdle. The domed cover with thumb grip and shaped & reeded outer rim. It holds 1150 ml, full to the brim and is watertight.
In excellent order and free of dents, creases and splits. Slightly bumpy within the vacant cartouche, possibly due to an erasure.
Hallmarked to the body and cover for London 1724 by Richard Bayley. Further part marked with the maker's mark to the handle.
Approximate weight is 794 grams or 25.5 troy ounces.
