An early George II silver coffee pot, of tapering, cylindrical, form with hinged, plain, low domed cover and hexagonal spout. Features a carved fruitwood handle and engraved with two different crests on a moulded foot.
Hallmarked to the underside of the base for London 1730, by Edward Vincent. The cover is not hallmarked.
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. A series of tiny indentations on the spout, probably from casting, as opposed to later damage. The pot is watertight and ready to use.
Approximate weight is 910 grams, or 29.2 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 23 cm height and 22 cm handle to spout width.
