Georgian, George II, Six Hanoverian Pattern Silver Tablespoons. Each spoon is reverse crested with the faded crest of a harpy (half woman half bird).
Rubbed and distorted bottom struck hallmarks for London 1740 and attributed to Edward Bayley. The date letter is clear on three of the spoons, but the maker's mark is clear on all six. All hallmarks have been photographed.
In excellent overall condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. One spoon with a small cut to the top of the terminal (last photo). Free of dents and creases.
Approximate total weight is 428 grams or 13.7 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one spoon are 20.5 cm length and 4.3 cm bowl width.
