Georgian, George II, Set of Six Silver Bottom Struck Hanoverian Pattern Tablespoons. The spoons are all reverse crested with a horned cow crest and the rubbed motto "FAMAM EXTENDIMUS FACTIS" (We Exceed Our Reputation By Deeds) for Veitch. The only word clearly visible now is EXTENDIMUS.
The spoons have rubbed bottom struck hallmarks for London 1753 by Alexander Johnston. The maker's mark is visible on all six spoons.
In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age.
Approximate weight of all six spoons is 446 grams or 14.3 troy ounces.
