Georgian, George II, set of Twelve Scottish Silver Tablespoons. Of Hanoverian pattern with a monogram of GL EG to the rear of each terminal.
Each spoon is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1754 by Lothian & Robertson. They also have the Assay Master's mark of HG for Hugh Gordon. The mark of the Assay Master was replaced by the thistle mark in 1759.
In excellent order with very light surface wear.
Approximate weight for all twelve spoons is 838 grams or 26.94 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one spoon are 21 cm length and 4 cm bowl width.
