Georgian, George II, Twelve Silver Gilt Tablespoons. All are of Hanoverian pattern with bottom struck hallmarks. Each spoon is gilded and features engraving of the highest quality to both sides. The reverse of each spoon with an identical crest.
Nine spoons are hallmarked for London 1731 by Caleb Hill. Two spoons appear to be hallmarked for London 1730, with no maker's mark clear enough to read, although one is partly visible and is not Caleb Hill. The marks on the last remaining spoon are too rubbed and obscured to read.
The spoons are in excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. Some wear to the gilding. Free of dents, splits and creases.
Approximate total weight of all twelve spoons is 973 grams or 31.2 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one spoon are 20 cm length and 4 cm bowl width.
