Early 19th century gilt metal and enamel circular box, inscribed Waterloo to the interior. The underside enamel is a deep blue whilst the same colour continues on the top with an intricate floral spray. The gilt metal has a decorative border. The hinged cover opens to reveal a mirror and an inscription, "Waterloo"; to commemorate the famous battle of 1815, featuring the Duke of Wellington and Napoleon Bonaparte.
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age.
Approximate dimensions are 4 cm diameter by 1.3 cm height.
